Students entering kindergarten in many of our Title IA-funded elementary schools have the opportunity to attend a free kindergarten preparation program this summer called Jumpstart Kinder this summer. Jumpstart Kinder is August 6–10, 2018, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to noon for the following elementary schools.

Auburn, Bush, Chavez, Cummings, Englewood, Eyre, Four Corners, Grant, Hallman, Hammond, Harritt, Hayesville, Highland, Hoover, Keizer, Kennedy, Lamb, Miller, Morningside, Richmond, Salem Heights, Scott, Swegle, Washington, Weddle, Wright and Yoshikai.

Registration Information

Children who will turn five on or before September 10, 2018, and live in one of the school attendance areas listed above are eligible for Jumpstart Kinder. See the Registration Form at the bottom of this page.

The goal of Jumpstart Kinder is to help students prepare to enter kindergarten in the fall. Bus transportation, breakfast and lunch are provided for students enrolled in the program. Jumpstart Kinder provides incoming students and their families an opportunity to get to know their new school and school staff. Students will also receive a backpack full of school supplies.

To enroll, please visit your assigned school and register for fall kindergarten and for the Jumpstart Kinder program. Registration is open until June 15, 2018, and space is limited so do not delay.
