Salem-Keizer Public Schools thanks the Salem-Keizer community for passing the 2018 bond to improve learning spaces. Because of your support, our schools will see major upgrades that will help support students and better prepare them for graduation.

Gubser Elementary was one of the first schools planned to begin construction, and so far, a lot of progress has been made. The north covered play area has been removed, and contractors are preparing for construction of the new classrooms. Construction will continue over the summer and is expected to finish in the fall.

By the end of construction, Gubser will see three additional classroom spaces, expansions to the cafeteria and kitchen and removal of the portable classroom.

A feedback form will be sent out sometime soon to see how construction is affecting the Gubser community. In the meantime, if you have any feedback, please contact Principal Dave Bertholf at bertholf_dave@salkeiz.k12.or.us.
